What personal data we collect

When you make a purchase

  • Your email address (for order confirmation and digital delivery)
  • Payment details - these are processed securely by Stripe and are never stored on our servers

When you submit a child's writing

  • Your (the parent or guardian's) email address
  • The child's chosen display name (first name, initial, pen name, or "Anonymous")
  • The child's age band (7-9 or 9-11)
  • The submitted writing (typed text or uploaded file)

We do not collect: the child's full name, email address, postal address, phone number, photograph, or any other identifying information.

When you sign up for our newsletter

  • Your email address

How we use your data

  • Purchases: to process your order and send your digital download.
  • Submissions: to review the submitted writing and contact you if it is selected for publication. We will always contact you before publishing any child's work.
  • Newsletter: only if you have explicitly opted in, and only to send updates about Noccy Days. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not use personal data for advertising, profiling, or any automated decision-making. We do not sell personal data to any third party.

Third parties

  • Stripe - processes card payments. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to data they hold. We receive only your email address and order amount.
  • MailerLite - manages our newsletter list if you have opted in.
  • Our hosting provider - stores the site's files and database. Data is held in the European Economic Area.

Data retention

  • Orders: retained for 7 years for accounting and legal purposes.
  • Submissions: retained for 12 months from submission, then deleted unless the work has been selected for publication.
  • Newsletter: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at hello@noccydays.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Cookies

Noccy Days uses minimal cookies. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. A session cookie may be set for the admin dashboard (only accessible to us). We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics service at this time.
